Add a User
Add users to your Marketing Cloud Engagement account.
- In Marketing Cloud Engagement setup, in the Quick Find box, type Users, and then click Users.
- Click Create.

Complete the basic user information fields on the Create a User page.
Field Description Name The full name of the user as you want it to appear in the application. Reply Email Address The email address that’s used when the user sends an email message. Password reset emails are also sent to this email address.
This field is only available when the Multi-From Connect feature is enabled.
Add to From Name Dropdown If you select this option, the address in the Reply Email Address field is also added to the From menu for email sends. You must verify each address that you use as a From address.
If you disable this option for one user, it’s disabled for all other users with the same Reply To Address.
This field is only available when the Multi-From Connect feature is enabled.
Notification Email Address The user’s email address. Marketing Cloud Engagement delivers any application request results to this email address. Username The username that the user enters when they log in to Marketing Cloud Engagement. The username must be unique across all Marketing Cloud Engagement accounts. External Key The string that identifies this user in API calls. If you leave this value blank, a key is generated automatically. Time Zone The default time zone for the user. Culture Code The language and locale for this user. API User If this option is selected, the user’s password doesn’t expire.
This field only appears in accounts enabled for API usage.
Temporary Password A temporary password for the user. The user must change the password when they first login. - In the User Permissions area of the User Properties dialog box, select the permission that determines what the user can access.
- Select the appropriate permissions and roles for the user. To create an administrator user, select the Add Users to Account permission.
- Save the user.
- Notify the user of their username and temporary password. Marketing Cloud Engagement doesn’t automatically send a notification when a new user is created.
