Marketing Cloud Engagement limits how long it stores some of the data related to your account.

Marketing Cloud Engagement retains data that can help you troubleshoot issues and understand how subscribers respond to your messages.

Send and engagement data Beginning June 16, 2025: Retention and access for 730 days

Send and engagement data includes data that’s related to send, open, bounce, click, and unsubscribe events.

Send and engagement data more than 730 days old is inaccessible for all customers. This policy rolls out to existing customers beginning June 16, 2025.

If your contract is dated before April 10, 2024, we retain a copy of raw send and engagement data that’s older than 730 days, but this data can’t be accessed through the UI, reports, or APIs.

If your use case requires you to access data that’s more than 730 days old, you can configure automated data extracts and store the data outside of Marketing Cloud Engagement.

For more information, see Marketing Cloud Engagement Data Retention.
