          Add a User Role

          Use a default role that you can modify, or create roles with permissions that meet your security requirements and business needs. Because roles are dataset-specific, Personalization users can have different roles in different datasets. Although a role is dataset-specific, when you add a role, it’s available to select in all datasets.

          Required Editions

          Permissions Needed
          To add a user role: Administrator permissions
          1. From the main navigation, select Security | Manage Role Definitions.
          2. Click Add Role.
          3. Enter the role name.
          4. To add a dataset permission to the role, select its checkbox.
          5. Save the role.
