MDP Amazon Vendor Central API Connector

MDP Amazon Vendor Central API Connector

Amazon Vendor Central is a web interface used by first-party sellers, such as direct manufacturers and distributors, for selling products directly to Amazon.

By connecting to the Amazon Vendor Central API, you get information about sales and traffic, consumer behavior, operations, and more. You can view both order and item-level data using the Amazon Standard Identification Number (ASIN) of the products. The data stream type is ecommerce, and data lagging is 1 day.

          Note
Note Because of an Amazon limitation, you can fetch only the past 7 days of your data. After connecting your data to MDP, the API brings in data according to the set schedule, (the default is daily), and it accumulates in MDP.

More details about the Amazon Vendor Central API connector:

          • The Amazon Vendor Central API connector brings in the ASIN product number as shown in Amazon Seller Central and maps it as ‘Product Key’ automatically.
          • You can connect more than one marketplace to the connector, however you must create a separate data stream per each marketplace.
          • Amazon sometimes requires your approval to share data with Marketing Cloud Intelligence Data Pipelines.
          • Amazon Vendor Central allows you to query 7 days back of data. After you connect your data to MDP the API continues bringing in data according to the set cadence, which is automatically set to daily.
          • Currently you can’t retrieve direct-fulfillment data with this connector; however a new connector is being developed to handle this use case. For more information, reach out to support.
