          Google Campaign Manager API Connector

          Google Campaign Manager API Connector

Google Campaign Manager is a web-based ad management system for advertisers and agencies, which helps you manage digital campaigns across websites and mobile.

          • Channel: Display
          • Data Stream Type: Ads, Ads Verification, Conversion Tag
          • Data Lag: 1 day

          Setup Google Campaign Manager

          1. Log in to the Google Campaign Manager platform with an Admin user.
          2. Go to "Admin" --> "User profiles".
          3. Examine the Profile of the Marketing Cloud Intelligence Data Pipelines user whose permissions you wish to create:
            • Make sure it has an API access.
            • Note what “User role” is assigned to this user.
          4. Go to "Admin" --> "User roles"
          5. Find the User role assigned to the Intelligence Data Pipelines user (as noted before) and edit it to match your requirements. There are two sections in the "User role" page: “Trafficking” and “Reporting”. Make sure you set the right permissions in both sections.

          Details

          • Removed entities aren’t retrieved by the API.
          • Multiple Advertisers are retrieved in a single Data Stream.

          General Setup

After an Account is selected, you can choose to retrieve a single or several Advertisers, or leave the field empty to retrieve all.

Retrieving many Advertisers could result in a large amount of data causing a timeout. If a timeout occurs, reduce the number of Advertisers per data stream.

          How to QA Your Data

          • Create the desired report in the Google Campaign Manager platform for the required date range.
          • Next, process the relevant Data Stream in Intelligence Data Pipelines for the same date range.
          • Create a Report/Pivot Table within Intelligence Data Pipelines containing the exact same Dimensions and Measurements for the same report and date range.
          • Compare the Measurement Totals and make sure they are aligned.
