Google Display and Video 360 API Connector
Google Display & Video 360 is a Demand-Side-Platform (DSP) providing global Display Media Buying across Ad Exchanges. Google Display & Video 360 (DV360) was formerly known as DoubleClick Bid Manager (DBM).
- Channel: Display
- Data Stream Type:
- Ads
- Conversion Tag
- Data Lag: 1 day
Prerequisites
To connect to Display & Video 360, you need a valid DV360 username and password with at least ‘Read Only’ permissions or higher.
Details
- Marketing Cloud Intelligence Data Pipelines pulls data from the ‘General Report’ in DV360.
- This connector doesn’t retrieve Display & Video 360 Trueview data. Intelligence Data Pipelines retrieves all available Cost Measurements, however, only the Revenue Measurement is automatically mapped, the remaining Measurements must be mapped manually.
- Cost Measurements are retrieved by default according to the advertiser’s currency and not according to the partner’s currency. You can retrieve Cost Measurements in the partner’s currency by selecting the relevant checkbox in the Extended Properties
General Setup
After entering your credentials, select the relevant Partner you want to retrieve data for.
- To retrieve all Advertisers, leave the Advertiser box empty.
- If you want to retrieve data for a specific Partner or Advertiser then select the relevant Partner or Advertiser from the respective list. If either list doesn’t populate automatically, or you can’t find the Partner or Advertiser that you want to retrieve data for, enter the Partner and/or Advertiser IDs into the Override Partner Id and/or Override Advertiser Ids section under Extended Properties.
Extended Properties
- Override Partner Id - Enter the Partner Ids you want to pull data for. Use this section if the Partner list didn’t populate automatically, or you can’t find the Partner that you want to retrieve data for under the General Settings section. (see General Setup).
- Override Advertisers Ids - Enter the Advertiser Ids you want to pull data for. Use this section if the Advertiser list didn’t populate automatically, or you can’t find the Advertiser that you want to retrieve data for under the General Settings section. (see General Setup). Insert multiple Advertisers IDs by separating them with a comma.
- Breakdown - Select one of the available options to add further breakdowns to the data
retrieved by the API, resulting in a higher level of granularity on which the Measurements can
be sliced. You can only select one type of Breakdown in any given API Data Stream. The
following Breakdowns are available when pulling data from the DV360 API in addition to the
standard data being pulled:
- Device - Select to pull device data and add the Dimensions ‘Device Type’ and ‘Browser’.
- Country - Select to pull country data and add the Dimension ‘Country’.
- Device & Country - Select to pull both device and country data and add all of the above mentioned added Dimensions.
- Get Partner Currency Cost Metrics - Select this checkbox to retrieve Cost Measurements in
the partner’s currency in addition to the advertiser’s currency. These Measurements are
unmapped by default. You can map them using Manual Mapping. The following Cost Measurements are
added:
- partnerCurrency
- mediaCostPartnerCurrency
- profitPartnerCurrency
- revenuePartnerCurrency
- totalMediaCostPartnerCurrency
- Get Conversions Data - Select this checkbox to retrieve Conversion data. The following
fields are added to the Conversion Tag Data Stream Type:
- DV360 Activity ID
- Post Click Revenue
- Post View Revenue
- Post Click Conversions
- Post Impression
- Conversions Total
- Conversions
- FloodlightActivityID

- Get ActiveView Metrics - Select this checkbox to retrieve ActiveView data. The following
fields are added to the Ads Verification Data Stream Type:
- Active View: Viewable Impressions
- Active View: Measurable Impressions
- Get Video Metrics - Select this checkbox to retrieve video data. The following fields are
added to the Ads Data Stream Type:
- First-Quartile Views (Video)
- Midpoint Views (Video)
- Third-Quartile Views (Video)
- Complete Views (Video)
Known Issues
- Due to a limitation with the DV360 API some data might not load as fast as it does with other connectors, which could cause the Data Stream to time out and fail.
QA Your Data
- Create the desired report in the Google Display & Video 360 platform for the required date range.
- Next, process the relevant Data Stream in Marketing Cloud Intelligence Data Pipelines for the same date range.
- Create a Report/Pivot Table within Intelligence Data Pipelines containing the exact same Dimensions and Measurements for the same report and date range.
- Compare the Measurement Totals and make sure they are aligned.
