Instagram by Facebook Connector in Marketing Cloud Intelligence Data Pipelines

Instagram by Facebook Connector in Marketing Cloud Intelligence Data Pipelines

The Instagram by Facebook API connector retrieves lifetime post data from Instagram using Facebook’s graph API. This connector pulls a larger variety of measurements, such as organic impressions. Instagram by Facebook is a social channel connector, the data stream type is social objects, and there’s no data lag.

Additional Information regarding Instagram by Facebook:

          • The connector shows LIFETIME type measurements. LIFETIME measurements display the accumulated value of the measurement as of the current date.
          • When an Instagram data stream is created, all posts from the creation date of your profile are retrieved.
          • Entries in the data stream log appear under the extraction date’s processing date, which is listed as Today.
          • When processing the data stream, there’s no date selection because data for all posts are retrieved until today and assigned a date value that matches the processing day.
          • Measurement data retrieved for all posts is accurate as of the processing date.
          • To prevent potential data inaccuracies, data streams in LIFETIME aggregation don’t allow for any failed retrievals to be reprocessed post-failure.
          • After data is deleted from an Instagram data stream, the deleted data isn’t accessible for retrieval through reprocessing.
          • To reprocess data retrieved in the past without actually deleting any data, for example, to accommodate changes in mapping, use the Re-Run Files option.
