          Get Started with Business Units

          Your Marketing Cloud Next account uses one business unit by default. To use business units in your account, complete these steps.

          Required Editions

          Available in: Marketing Cloud Engagement Corporate+ and Enterprise+ editions.
          User Permissions Needed
          To connect to Marketing Cloud Engagement: A Marketing Cloud Engagement account that has the Marketing Cloud Administrator and Administrator roles, and that’s enabled as an API User.
          To configure Marketing Cloud Next:

          A Salesforce account with the System Administrator profile and these permission sets:

          • Marketing Cloud Admin
          • Data Cloud Architect
          • Tableau Next Included App Business User
          1. Connect Marketing Cloud Engagement to Data 360.
          2. Create a data space for each business unit that you want to create.
          3. Turn on the business units feature and create your first two business units.
          4. Create more business units as needed.
          5. Set up Marketing Cloud Next for each business unit.
