Connect Marketing Cloud Engagement
Start the setup process by identifying the Marketing Cloud Engagement account to connect to Marketing Cloud Next.

Before you begin, turn on Data 360.
- Log in to Salesforce.
- In Salesforce Setup, go to Marketing Cloud | Assisted Setup | Marketing Cloud Engagement | Connect Data.

In the Connect Marketing Cloud Engagement setup section, click Go to Data
Cloud Setup.
You can also access this page directly in Salesforce Setup by going to Data Cloud | Salesforce Integrations | Marketing | Marketing Cloud Engagement.
- On the Marketing Cloud Connections page, click New.

In the Enter Credentials section, click Manage.
NoteIf you used Data 360 with Marketing Cloud Engagement data before November 11, 2025, repeat the process of entering your Marketing Cloud Engagement credentials.
- The login page for Marketing Cloud Engagement appears in a new tab or window. Log in with the credentials of an admin with the Marketing Cloud Administrator and Administrator roles. The admin account must also be an API User.
Note If you see an internal error message after you connect to Marketing Cloud Engagement, clear your browser cache and cookies, and then reload the
page. See Knowledge Article: Error "Unable to complete setup due to internal error".
After you connect your Marketing Cloud Engagement account, configure Marketing Performance.
Note You can connect more than one Marketing Cloud Next account to a
Marketing Cloud Engagement account. If you do, links that connect pages in Marketing Cloud Engagement to pages in Marketing Cloud Next are based on the
first Marketing Cloud Next account that you connected. You can’t change the order
of connected accounts.
