View Engagement and Delivery Data with the Marketing Performance Dashboard

The Marketing Performance Dashboard gives you real-time send, engagement, and deliverability data for the messages you send by using Marketing Cloud Engagement and Marketing Cloud Next.

          Required Editions

Available in: Marketing Cloud Engagement Pro+, Corporate+, and Enterprise+ editions

The Marketing Performance dashboard shows data for the default business unit in your account. If your account uses more than one business unit, you can filter the report to show data only for a specific business unit.

On the Marketing Performance page, for Business Unit, select the business unit to show data for. The Marketing Performance dashboard automatically updates to show data for only the selected business unit. The business unit selection applies to the data on both the Insights and Deliverability tabs.

This video provides a brief overview of the Marketing Performance dashboards.

          Engagement Insights

The Insights tab of the Marketing Performance dashboard provides at-a-glance reporting for messages across all marketing channels, including email, SMS, WhatsApp, and mobile app messaging.

The Insights tab contains these reports:

          • Top-Performing Campaigns: Shows the highest-performing campaigns for the selected activity types.
          • Top-Performing Segments: Shows the highest-performing segments for the selected activity types.
          • Top-Performing Content: Shows the highest-performing content assets for the selected activity types.

You can filter the Engagement Insights section to show only the information you’re interested in. Filter the data based on these attributes:

          Note
Note The All Activity table includes engagement data for segment-based campaigns in Marketing Cloud Next. If you've connected Marketing Cloud Engagement and deployed its data bundles, the table also includes journey-related data.
          • Date Range: Select a predefined period or specify a custom range to apply to the dashboard. The dashboard shows data that applies to the specified range.
          • Campaigns: Select the campaigns to report on.
          • Flows: Select the campaign flows to report on.
          • Segments: Select the Data 360 segments to view data for.
          • Journey: Select the journeys to view data for.
          • Sends: Select the sends to view data for. This filter includes sends from Journey Builder, Automation Studio, and API-based sends.

In the Campaign Engagement section, you can further refine the engagement dashboard to show information about these attributes:

          • Activity Type: Select the event types to view data for, such as Email Open or SMS Click.
          • Content Type: Select the content channels to view data for, such as App Push or WhatsApp.
          • Content: Select the specific content assets, such as email or SMS send definitions, to view data for.
          Note
Note The filters combine objects that have the same name. For example, if your account contains multiple journeys, sends, or content assets with the same name, the filter list shows that name one time.

Click a value in any report to filter the other reports by that value. For example, click a bar in the Top Performing Campaigns report to filter the Top-Performing Segments and Top-Performing Content to show only data for the selected campaign.

          Deliverability Reports

The Deliverability tab of the Marketing Performance dashboard shows deliverability metrics for email, SMS, WhatsApp, and mobile app messages in your campaigns and journeys.

The Deliverability tab contains these reports:

          • Top Campaigns: Shows the highest-performing campaigns for the selected Delivery Status types. For example, if you filtered the report to include only the Email Unsubscribes status, the report shows the campaigns that generated the fewest unsubscribes.
          • Bottom Campaigns: Shows the lowest-performing campaigns for the selected Delivery Status types. For example, if you filtered the report to include only the Email Bounces status, the report shows the campaigns that generated the most bounces.
          • Top Failure Reasons: Shows the most common events that caused the bounces to occur.
          • Domain Type: Shows the domains that you sent email messages to most often.

Filter the Campaign Performance section based on these attributes:

          • Delivery Status: Select the delivery statuses to view metrics for, such as Email Bounces or Email Unsubscribes.
          • Message Type: Select the categories of messages, such as Promotional or Transactional, to view metrics for.
          • Domain: Select the receiving email domain to view metrics for. The reports filter to show only the metrics for emails that you sent to the selected domains.

Click a value in any report to filter the other applicable reports by that value. For example, click a bar in the Top Campaigns report to filter the Top Failure Reasons and Domain Type reports to show only data for that campaign.
