          Change Your Sending IP Type

Account Engagement Advanced and Premium editions come with a dedicated sending IP. If you send more than 250,000 emails per month, you’re required to use a dedicated sending IP. You can change the IP type in your business unit settings.

          Required Editions

Available in: Account Engagement Advanced and Premium Editions
Available for an additional cost in: Account Engagement Plus Edition
          User Permissions Needed

Review these considerations before changing your IP type.

          • If you send more than 100,000 emails per month, we recommend a dedicated IP. If you send less than 100,000 emails per month or your sending volume fluctuates, we recommend a shared IP.
          • You’re required to use a dedicated IP when you send more than 250,000 emails per month.
          • You can change the sending IP for your account two times. To change it again after you’ve reached the limit, contact Salesforce Customer Support.
          • When you switch to a shared IP, you give up your dedicated IP address permanently. If you switch to a shared IP and then switch back to a dedicated IP, you’re assigned a new dedicated IP address.
          1. Open the settings for your business unit.
            • In Account Engagement, click gear icon and then select Settings.
            • In the Lightning app, select Account Engagement Settings.
          2. Click Edit and scroll to IP Type.
          3. Click the dropdown menu and select a dedicated or shared IP.
          4. Save your changes.
