Use Custom Redirects for a Permission Pass

You can create a landing page for permission pass recipients and set up a redirect that tracks when your prospects visit. Then use an automation rule to clean your list.

Available in: All Account Engagement Editions
          User Permissions Needed
To create custom redirects: Account Engagement Administrator or Marketing role
          1. Create a landing page with Thank You content.
          2. Create a custom redirect to the new landing page.
          3. Send a list email that includes the redirect link to ask prospects to opt in to your list.
          4. In the redirect report, select the prospects with at least one click, and add an “opted in” tag to them.
          5. To remove prospects that haven’t responded or opted in, create and run an automation rule with the following criteria.
            • Prospect list [is member of][email list name].
            • Prospect tag [isn’t] [opted in].
            • Completion action: Change prospect default field [Do Not Email] to [Do Not Email].

For best results, wait between 7 and 14 business days for prospects to receive and respond to your email.

You don’t need to do anything in Salesforce to reflect these changes. The prospect’s Salesforce Do Not Email field is updated automatically.
