The launchpad for any referral strategy is the referral program. After marketing
managers create a referral program, they can manage and implement all aspects for their referral
strategy from the referral program.
Required Editions
Available in: Lightning Experience
Available in: Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited,
and Developer Editions with Referral Marketing
User Permissions Needed
To create a referral program:
Referral Marketing permission set
AND
Edit permission on Loyalty Program
Tip If your brand uses the same org to run their loyalty program by using Loyalty
Management, ask your admin to add the Type and Subtype field to the page layout of the
Loyalty Program object. The Type field helps you indicate that the program is for a referral
program. The Subtype field helps you indicate whether it is a B2B or B2C referral
program.
From the App Launcher, find and select Referral Marketing.
Click New.
Enter the name, description and status of the referral program.
Select the type as Referral.
Select the subtype as Business to Customer.
Save your changes.
