Track Referrals

Referral records help marketing managers track the progress of an advocate’s referral. When an advocate’s referral progresses across the promotion stages, the Referral record is also updated to the current stage.

Required Editions

Available in: Lightning Experience
Available in: Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer Editions with Referral Marketing
User Permissions Needed
To view transaction journals:

Referral Marketing permission set

AND

View permission on:

  • Loyalty Program
  • Promotion
  • Referral

You can review these key details in a Referral record:

  • Referrer—The contact of the advocate.
  • Party—The contact of the referred friend.
  • Promotion—The promotion as part of which the advocate referred their friend.
  • Current Promotion Stage—The stage that the referral is at currently. The stage changes as the referral progresses through the various promotion stages.
  1. On the Promotions related list of your referral program, click the promotion whose referral you want to view.
  2. Click Referrals.
  3. Click the name of the referral that you want to view.
