Connect Your WhatsApp Business Account
To use WhatsApp in Unified Messaging, connect your WhatsApp Business Account (WABA) and number to your Salesforce account. If you don’t have a WABA, we walk you through creating one.

It can take up to 24 hours to migrate templates from one WhatsApp Business Account to another. For help migrating templates before you’ve registered a phone number in the receiving account, open a support case for assistance. To minimize downtime that can occur during a migration, we recommend migrating your channel during a low-traffic time.
- In Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Your Numbers, and select Your Numbers.
- Click Add Number.
- Create a new account and click Next.
- Enter the Meta credentials for your WABA, and click Next.
- Select the WABA number, and click Save & Continue.
- Enter the consent settings for this number, then save your settings.
- To add additional capabilities to your WhatsApp connection, click Configure next to that capability and add the necessary information. After you save the configuration, click Activate.
