Connect Your WhatsApp Business Account to Salesforce for Unified WhatsApp

To use WhatsApp in Unified Messaging, connect your WhatsApp Business Account (WABA) and number to your Salesforce account. If you don't have a WABA, we walk you through creating one.

It can take up to 24 hours to migrate templates from one WhatsApp Business Account to another. For help migrating templates before you've registered a phone number in the receiving account, open a support case for assistance. To minimize downtime that can occur during a migration, we recommend migrating your channel during a low-traffic time.

Create a WhatsApp Business Account for Unified WhatsApp

  1. In Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Your Numbers, and select Your Numbers.
  2. Click Add Number.
  3. Select Create a WhatsApp Business Account, new account and click Next.
  4. Click Create Account, and click Next.
  5. Enter the Meta credentials for your WABA, and click Next.
  6. Click Continue as [your name].
  7. Click Get Started.
  8. Select your Business Portfolio, and click Next.
  9. Click Next.
  10. Enter your WhatsApp Business account name, WhatsApp Business display name, and Category, and click Next.
  11. Enter your number, select Phone Call, and click Next.
  12. Enter your verification code, and click Next.
  13. Click Finish.
  14. You should be redirected back to Salesforce, where you enter your WhatsApp Business account and phone number. Then click Finish.
