Before you can send messages, connect to Data 360 and deploy the
required data kits. A data kit is similar to a managed package, and it contains everything that
you need to get started. Use a data kit to create data streams, which establish the
relationships that are required to track engagement and honor consent. Create a Data 360 connection for each channel that you plan to use.
Required Editions
To process data correctly, preserve field visibility for the Data Cloud Salesforce
Connector permission set. Visibility can change when you delete a field, change the
permissions on a field, or change the API name for a custom field.

To install the Consent Data Cloud package:
Read and View All Records on Communication Subscriptions, Communication
Subscription Channel Types, and Engagement Channel Types
Each unified channel type requires two data kits. One package relates to consent settings,
and the other relates to channel engagement data. You can install both at the same time, or
you can install each one separately.
From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Unified Messaging, and
then select the channel that you want to configure.
Locate the Channel Setup section for your channel, and then click
Install.
For the Email channel, install the data kits as part of the Marketing Cloud Next setup process.
For the SMS channel, find the data kits at SMS Codes in the SMS section of Unified
Messaging.
For the WhatsApp channel, find the data kits at Your Numbers in the WhatsApp
section of Unified Messaging.
After the installation completes, click Done.
The required data streams are now connected in Data 360.
