- From Setup, click Object Manager, click the object that you want to create the action for, and then click Buttons, Links, and Actions.
- Click New Action.
- Select Agent Quick Action.
- In the User Utterance field, add an utterance that tells the agent what to do. For example, to summarize the record in question, enter Summarize record. You can also use the record ID merge field with the syntax Summarize record with ID ${RECORD_ID}.
- Enter a label for the action. Users see this label as the name of the action.
- Save your work.
When you finish creating your action, add it to the desired page layout. In the Page Layout Editor, find the newly created action Mobile & Lightning Actions.
Users must have access to at least one active Agentforce (Default) agent or Agentforce Employee agent in your org in order to use the agent quick action functionality on record pages. For information on granting users access, see Give Users Access to Agentforce (Default) or Manage Employee Agent Access in Salesforce Help.
