Assign a task to an AI agent in Agentforce Supply Chain and provide the inputs needed for reliable completion.

Before assigning the task, determine which agent is best suited for the expected output and prepare the required context and data. For a list of available agents and their requirements, see AI Agents Catalog for Agentforce Supply Chain.
- Create or open the task that you want to assign to an AI agent.
- For Assignee, select the AI agent.
- Optionally configure fallback assignees. If the agent can’t complete the task at run time, the task is automatically reassigned to fallback users.

Provide the name, instructions, required inputs, including fields, documents, and any
shared information from prior tasks. Include identifiers, dates, business rules, and expected
output format when applicable.
Input Description Task name Use a clear name that describes the work. Description Write clear instructions. For multi-step work, list the steps in order. Include any nuances that can occur. Documents Upload documents for the agent to review. Shared fields Share fields with information the AI agent needs to complete the task. Requested fields and forms Add the fields or forms that you want the agent to complete. For example, share the
Invoice Price,Contract Price, andInvoice Datefields, and request outputs in thePrice Match ResultandReview Notesfields. - Set task timing details such as when to start and the due date.
- Save the task.
