Create an Automation Template with a Blueprint in Agentforce Supply Chain
Select an existing draft blueprint or create a blueprint to use as a template for automated workflows in Agentforce Supply Chain. Select from pre-built blueprints, create one with AI assistance, or build one from scratch.

Customize an Existing Blueprint
Review an existing draft blueprint to make sure that it fits your needs. Customize the blueprint as needed.
- In the navigation sidebar, click Blueprints.

Click a blueprint to preview its structure.
Review the stages, tasks, and workflow structure to make sure that it meets your needs.

Optionally, edit the blueprint to customize it for your specific process.
You can modify stages, tasks, assignments, dependencies, and other settings to match your requirements.
Create a Blueprint with AI
Generate a blueprint by uploading documentation and letting AI create the stages and tasks for you. Upload documentation, such as spreadsheets, flowcharts, or whiteboard photos, then Agentforce Supply Chain analyzes your documents and generates a blueprint automatically.
- Click +Create.
- Click Blueprint.
- Click Generate with AI.
- Enter a name for the blueprint.
- Select your industry.

Select files for upload.
Accepted file formats are .pdf, .docx, .xlsx, .png, and .jpg.

Review the AI-generated blueprint.

Customize the generated blueprint as needed.
Edit stages, tasks, assignments, or dependencies to refine the workflow template.
Create a Blueprint from Scratch
Build a custom blueprint manually by defining stages and tasks yourself.
- Click +Create.
- Click Blueprint.

Click From scratch.
- Enter a name for your blueprint.

Create a stage.
Stages group-related tasks together and help organize your workflow into logical phases.
- Click + Add stage.
- Enter a name for your stage.
- Select when you want the stage to start.
- If you select to have the stage start based on specific workflow conditions, click + Add condition and enter details for your condition.
- Click Add stage.

Add tasks to the stage.
Tasks are the main work units in a blueprint.
- Click + Task.

For each task, specify the required information.
- The task name
- When to start the task
- When the task is due
- The person assigned to the task
- A description of what to do for the task
- Upload relevant documents
- Add tags for organization of tasks
- Share information to help the assignee complete the task
- If you need the assignee to provide information, add fields to request information

- Add more stages and tasks as needed.
Test and Publish a Blueprint
Now that you have a blueprint ready, test it to make sure that it works as expected. If the blueprint runs correctly, you can create and start a workflow from it. To share the blueprint with others, publish the blueprint.
- Create and start a test workflow by using pretend data. Learn more in create and start a workflow.
- If the workflow doesn’t run correctly, modify the blueprint as needed.
- If the workflow runs correctly, go to the next step.
- In the Settings tab, configure any necessary blueprint settings.
- To share your blueprint with others, click the three dots next to the blueprint's name and click Publish blueprint.
- Enter version notes to differentiate this new published version from any other versions.

Click Publish.
Now, your blueprint is ready for others to use.
When you're ready to start your automated process, create and start a workflow.
