What to Track
| Tracking Area | What to Review | Why It Matters |
|---|---|---|
| Workflow status | Check whether the workflow is on track or not. | Review workflow statuses in the workflows list view on the Home page. The status tells you whether work is moving forward. A paused workflow usually needs a decision before tasks can continue. A problem status means you must fix something. | Task progress | Review open, in-progress, and completed tasks, plus blocked tasks. | The Stages tab in the workflow helps you find bottlenecks quickly, such as one blocked task preventing downstream tasks from starting. |
| Due dates | Identify overdue tasks and tasks due soon. | Early due-date monitoring helps teams rebalance work, update due times, or escalate before missed deadlines. |
| Owners and assignees | Confirm workflow owner and task assignees for each stage. Escalate as needed. | Clear ownership reduces delays. If work is stalled, you can quickly contact the right person or reassign as needed. |
| Task activity and comments | Read recent updates, comments, and approval notes on key tasks. | Activity history shows decisions and context, which helps avoid duplicate requests and speeds up handoffs. |
| Workflow data quality | Spot missing required values or inconsistent field entries. | Accurate data improves reporting, filtering, and downstream automation behavior. |
Where to Track Progress
To monitor workflow statuses and filter to the workflows most relevant to you, go to the Home page.
