Manage Approval Email Notifications
By default, a flow approval process sends email notifications to assigned approvers, their delegates, and approval submitters. Use approval email settings to manage emails sent to these groups.

To send email from Salesforce, Flow Approval Processes requires domain-level and user-level email verification. Email delivery fails if either the user's email address or the email-sending domain is unverified. See Requirements to Send Email from Salesforce .
Control Flow Approval Process Email Notifications Sent to Submitters
A flow approval process sends email notifications to approval submitters. The emails notify the submitter after they’ve submitted an item for approval and after the item has been approved or rejected. Use the Send Approval Submission Status Email Notifications to Submitters setting to control these emails.

Access Approval Settings from the Approvals app or from Setup.
- From the Approvals app, click Settings.
- From Setup, in the Quick Find box, search for and select Approval Settings.

Decide whether to send email notifications to approval submitters.
- To stop sending email notifications to approval submitters, deselect Send Approval Submission Status Email Notifications to Submitters.
- To send email notifications to approval submitters, select Send Approval Submission Status Email Notifications to Submitters.
Control Approval Work Item Email Notifications Sent to Approvers
An approval step sends email notifications to assigned approvers and their delegates. Use the Send Approval Work Item Assignment Emails to Approvers setting to control these emails.

Access Approval Settings from the Approvals app or from Setup.
- From the Approvals app, click Settings.
- From Setup, in the Quick Find box, search for and select Approval Settings.

Decide whether to send email notifications to assigned approvers and their designated
delegates.
- To stop sending email notifications to assigned approvers and their designated delegates, deselect Send Approval Work Item Assignment Emails to Approvers.
- To send email notifications to assigned approvers and their designated delegates, select Send Approval Work Item Assignment Emails to Approvers.
Control Approval Work Item Email Notifications for Queue Members
Control who is sent approval work item email notifications when an approval step is assigned to a queue.

Access Approval Settings from the Approvals app or from Setup.
- From the Approvals app, click Settings.
- From Setup, in the Quick Find box, search for and select Approval Settings.

Control who receives work item email notifications when a queue is the assignee for
an approval step.
- To limit approval work item email notifications to only queue members and their delegates, select Send approval work item emails only to queue members.
- To send approval work item email notifications to queue members, queue member delegates, and individuals above the queue members in the role hierarchy, deselect Send approval work item emails only to queue members.
