Essential Service Options in Backup & Recover for ServiceNow
From the Options tab, you can make specific configurations to optimize the ServiceNow backup and tailor it to your business.
General
- Change the name and subtitle from the default names given when creating the backup service.
- Change the time and day for automatic backups.
Data Classification
Select if Service contains production data.
Blockchain Verify
To enable blockchain verification, select Set this service to Blockchain Verify.
After changing the General tab: click Save or click the three dots to select from:
- Pause or Archive the Service
- Delete the service and its backups.
Retention
Edit your retention policy. See ServiceNow Backup Retention Policies.
API Consumption
API Consumption allows you to control the limits for downloading files and using the bulk API separately.
Before increasing the limit, we suggest checking the API consumption limit in your environment to make sure you're within the allowed API limit.
If you get a warning for missing files and attachments, look at your API limits and increase them based on your organization's daily allowed API.
