Create Service Resources in Salesforce Scheduler
Service resources are individual users who can attend customer appointments. Create service resources so that you can assign appointments to them.

- From the App Launcher, find and open the Salesforce Scheduler Setup app.

From the Service Resources tab, click New.
Tip To create a service resource using the Salesforce Scheduler Setup Assistant tool, go to the Salesforce Scheduler Setup Assistant tab, and under Set Up a Service Resource and Assign a Skill, click Create a Resource. - Select a user and enter a resource name—typically, the user's name.
- Select Active so that you can assign the resource to appointments.

To use the resource for scheduling appointments in Salesforce Scheduler, select
Main.
Note To consider service resources specified as Main for appointment booking, enable the Main Service Resource setting. -
Select a resource type:
Technician For individual users. This resource type is supported by default. Agent For individual users. Supported only if the Main Service Resource setting is enabled and the Main checkbox is selected. Typically used for service resources shared with Omni-Channel. Asset For rooms and equipment. Supported only if Asset Management is enabled. - Save your changes.
Assign the new service resource to a service territory and add skills.
