          Generate an Appointment Invitation URL

          Generate appointment invitation URLs to share with your customers. Customers can use appointment invitation URLs to quickly book an appointment.

          Required Editions

          Available in: Enterprise and Unlimited Editions

          User Permissions Needed
          To generate an appointment invitation URL:

          Create, Edit, and Delete on Appointment Invitation object

          AND

          Visible field-level security access on the Appointment Invitation field of the Service Appointment object.

          If the Schedule Appointment Using Engagement Channel setting is enabled, then Read on the Engagement Channel Type object.

          To access an appointment type: Read and Edit on the Appointment Invitation Field-Level Security.

          Before you generate an appointment invitation URL, add the URL prefix in the InvitationURLPrefix flow variable. For more information, see Create an Invitation URL Prefix for Community Sites. After you specify the prefix in the flow, activate the flow.

          1. From the App Launcher, find and select the Salesforce Scheduler Setup app.
          2. On the Service Resources tab, select a service resource.
            Note
            Note The Service Resource tab shows only the records that the logged-in user has access to.
          3. On the record page, click the quick action to generate an appointment invitation.
            In the Select Appointment Invitee page, the Participant Service Resource field is auto-populated with the selected service resource.
          4. Click Next.
            Note
            Note If you want to create the invitation URL for another service resource, change the auto-populated resource to the required resource.
          5. Select a work type group, and then click Next.
          6. Select an appointment type or an engagement channel, such as Phone, Video, or At a Branch, and then click Next.
            If you’ve enabled the Schedule Appointments with Engagement Channel setting, then Salesforce Scheduler replaces the Select Appointment Type page with the Select Engagement Channel Type page.
          7. Select an appointment location:
            1. Enter an address, city, or ZIP code.
            2. Select the radius; the range is 5–100 miles or 10–200 kilometers.
              The Maps and Location Services permission is enabled in Enterprise editions by default.
              A list of all active service territories that are associated with the selected appointment topic, including the branch name, address, and operating hours appears.
          8. Click Next.
            When you select an appointment location, the service resource is available for appointments only in the selected service territory.
          9. If necessary, select a start date and an end date for the appointment booking and an expiration date for the appointment invitation URL.
            The Start date field defaults to the current date.
          10. If necessary, to deactivate the URL, deselect Active, and then click Next.
            The Active checkbox is selected by default.
          11. For multi-resource scheduling, expand Manage Service Resources.
            Note
            Note You can add multiple resources only when Multi-Resource Scheduling is enabled and Disable Multi-Resource Scheduling design attribute is set to False.
          12. In the Add Service Resource field, search for and add other required or optional service resources for the appointment.
            For example, a wealth manager and another resource (a real estate specialist) can share joint availability.
          13. Review the available time slots based on the inputs that you provided.
            The Availability Calendar shows only the time slots that are available between the shared start and end dates. You can use ​​previous week icon and next week icon to move to the previous week and next week, respectively. Use first week icon and last week icon to go to the first week and last week of availability, respectively.
          14. Click Next.
            The Review URL for Appointment Booking page shows the generated appointment invitation URL.
          15. To copy the appointment invitation URL, click Copy to Clipboard.

          Share the copied URL with users to book appointments or add the URL to your email signature.
