Set Up Scheduling for Authenticated External Users
With Salesforce Scheduler, your authenticated external users (customers and partners) can
use standard flow templates to quickly schedule appointments with your employees. Users can easily
search for and select the right person, topic, location, and date and time of the appointment. You
can either use the provided standard flow templates or create flows based on those templates and
customize them to suit your business requirement.

Flow
Purpose
Inbound New Appointment
Walks an authenticated external user through scheduling an appointment with one or more
employees or contractors.
You can modify this flow and make it available as an outbound
flow to community users. For more information, see Make the Inbound Flow Available as an Outbound Flow. By using the modified flow, partner users, such as independent wealth
advisers or automotive dealership personnel, can easily book appointments.
Inbound Modify Appointment
Walks an authenticated external user through modifying a scheduled
appointment.
Partner users (contractors) can also use this flow to modify their
appointments using Experience Cloud.
Inbound Cancel Appointment
Walks an authenticated external user through canceling a scheduled appointment.
To give your authenticated external users access to inbound appointment flows, add inbound
appointment flows in your Experience Cloud site.
Make the Inbound Flow Available as an Outbound Flow To provide the inbound flow as an outbound flow, use the Outbound flow available to community users attribute. With the outbound flow enabled, service resources who are contractors can create and manage service appointments for either an account, opportunity, or lead. Contractors can also request their assistants to book appointments on their behalf.
