work. Service resources can control the number of appointments per shift to meet customer needs.
Territory managers can choose whether to distribute capacity in a shift for a work topic or across
multiple work topics
Considerations for Capacity-Based Scheduling An appointment is assigned to a shift and service resource based on the shift’s availability and capacity. When a particular shift or work type reaches capacity, the additional appointments are scheduled in the next shift or with another service resource with available capacity.
Enable Capacity-Based Scheduling To view and control the number of service appointments at a shift and work-type level, enable capacity-based scheduling.
Add the Shift Capacity Component Add the Service Territory Capacity Summary component to view shift capacity information for a service resource or service territory.
Set Capacity for Shifts For each shift, set the number of appointments that can be booked for a particular work type.
