          Setting the Session Timeout

          Setting the Session Timeout

The session timeout setting sets the interval of inactivity before a user is automatically signed out of the Own Data Platform.

          Impact of Session Timeout Changes

          Session Timeout Setting

The session timeout setting is only accessible to Master Admin and Admin users, and not visible to non-admin users. For Admin users, it is read-only, while the Master Admin users can make changes.

Changes to the session timeout affect all the regions in the account. Therefore, any Master Admin can make changes, no matter what region they are the Master Admin of. We recommend having a single Master Admin user across all regions in the account.

          Absolute Timeout

The Own Data Platform has an absolute timeout of 2 hours, regardless of this setting.

          Changing the Session Timeout

To change the session timeout, click the Security icon to open the security page. Select a time interval option fi the Session timeout drop-down.

The updated setting will be enforced on the next login.
