          Sign Up and Sign In to Own from Salesforce Platform

          Sign up for an Own from Salesforce Platform account. Sign in using Single Sign-On (SSO) or a password. Manage account security by resetting or changing your password and unlocking your account if it's blocked.

          Sign Up for an Account

          1. Contact Salesforce using the form at https://www.salesforce.com/company/contact-us/. For the Product Interest, select Salesforce Platform. Someone from Salesforce will contact you to set up your account.
          2. After your account is set up, you'll receive a welcome email from Own that prompts you to set your password. If you don't see an email, look in your spam folder. If you find it there, add @owndata.com to your email allowlist.
          3. The email has two links. Use the first link to set your password.
          4. If the first link expires, use the second link to request a new password link.

          Sign in with SSO

          1. Navigate to app.owndata.com.
          2. Click Sign in With SSO.
          3. Enter your Email and click Next. You will be redirected to your IdP to authenticate and complete sign in.

          If your account doesn't have SP initiated SSO enabled, you'll be prompted to sign in with your password.

          Sign in with Password

          1. Navigate to app.owndata.com.
          2. Enter your Email and Password.
          3. Click Sign In.

          Reset Passwords for an Existing User

          1. Click the Forgot password? link.
          2. Enter your email, and click Reset via Email. The Email sent! confirmation window appears.
          3. If your email address exists in our records, you receive a password reset email providing further instructions.
          4. In the email, click the hyperlink to reset your password. The Reset your password window appears.
          5. The provided hyperlink works only once and expires after six hours. If the hyperlink expires, you must restart the process.
          6. Follow the on-screen password requirements. Enter and repeat the new password.
          7. Click Reset Password. You'll be signed in to the application.

          Change Your Password

          1. From the My Profile tab click Change Password.
          2. In the confirmation message, click OK, and check your email.
            If your email address exists in our records, you receive a password reset email providing further instructions.
          3. In the email, click the hyperlink to reset your password. The Reset your password window appears.
            The provided hyperlink works only once and expires after six hours. If the hyperlink expires, you must restart the process.
          4. Follow the on-screen password requirements. Enter and repeat the new password.
          5. Click Reset Password. You are signed in to the application.

          Unlock Your Account

          If you try to sign in to your account using an invalid email or password, an error message appears:

          After five unsuccessful sign in attempts, your account is blocked. You are automatically notified by email that your account is locked. Unlock your account, from within the notification email that you received or from within the Sign In window.

          1. In the Sign In window, click the Need help signing in? link. Immediately below this link, the Forgot password? link and the Unlock account? link appear.
          2. Click the Unlock account? link.
          3. Enter your email address or username, and click Send Email. The Email sent! confirmation message appears.
          4. If your email address was recognized in our records, you will receive an unlock email and further instructions.
          5. In the email, click the hyperlink to unlock your account. A message displays confirming that the account is successfully unlocked.
          6. The provided hyperlink expires after six hours. If the hyperlink expires, you must restart the process.
          7. Click Back to sign in to return to the Sign In window. You can, once again, proceed with signing in to your account.

          To unlock your account from within the notification email. Click the provided hyperlink, and continue to step 3.
