Sync Secure Data Classification with Salesforce

Sync Secure Data Classification with Salesforce

Set up Secure to sync field-level meta data such as sensitivity, compliance and other data points to and from Salesforce.

Secure allows all fields in an org to be classified, however, there may be discrepancies due to Salesforce limitations on some fields. The following attributes can be synced:

          • Data Sensitivity Level
          • Compliance Categorization
          • Data Owner
          • Usage
          1. On the Settings tab, enable "Sync Classification Levels", and click Apply Changes.
          2. On the Data Classification tab, click Sync Classifications with Salesforce.

With a first-time sync, use the "From Salesforce" option to ensure none of the previous work done in Object Manager is lost. When using Secure, keep Salesforce updated with any recent changes by using the "To Salesforce" option. Select an option and click Next.

A summary of changes is displayed.
          3. If you are uncertain about making these changes, a detailed .csv file can be downloaded to review each field. Click Confirm to continue.
A batch job is queued to sync all classifications between Secure and Salesforce.
          4. Click OK to exit the window.
