Activate Your Backup & Recover Platform
Prepare to manage and protect your Salesforce data when you activate the Backup & Recover platform during Seeding and Anonymize onboarding. Make sure to sign in or activate your Backup & Recover Platform before onboarding Seeding and Anonymize.
This task applies to customers who do not already have a Backup & Recover Platform. You must activate your Backup & Recover Platform before starting the Seeding and Anonymize onboarding. If you have already activated your account, skip to step 4 in the following procedure and sign in to your account.
- Navigate to the Sign In page. At the bottom of the dialog, click Need help signing in?.

Click Forgot password?.
The Reset dialog displays.
- From this dialog, initiate resetting your password and activating your account.

We recommend additional sign-in access control safeguards available via the Backup &
Recover Platform for either:
- Single-sign-on (Salesforce recommends handling IP restrictions via the SSO provider)
- Managing IP restrictions and Multi Factor Authentication (MFA) via the Own app
- Once complete, add a new backup service to your account. If you have purchased the Seed-only plan, this setup creates a 15-day retention period on the backups, with no more than 15 backups.
- Once your initial backup is completed and you have at least two environments backed up, for example, a sandbox and a production org, you can continue this onboarding experience with the next section How Do I Create a Levels Seeding Template?.
