Seed Attachment, Document, and ContentDocument Objects

Seed Attachment, Document, and ContentDocument Objects

Seed dummy content in Salesforce to prevent users from seeing actual data and comply with PII protection requirements. When using Nodes templates to seed the ContentDocument object, you can choose to seed dummy content or real content. The Attachment, Document, and ContentDocument objects represent uploaded files.

          Seed a Document Object

          1. Click + Add root.
          2. Filter or scroll to select the Document object.
The objects Attachment, ContentDocument, ContentDocumentLink, and ContentVersion are excluded from the roots’ list of objects (as they have a mandatory parent that must be selected).

          Seed an Attachment Object

          1. Add or select the parent object.
          2. Click + Add child.
          3. Filter or scroll to select the Attachment object.

          Seed a ContentDocument Object

          1. Add the parent object.
          2. Add the ContentDocumentLink object.
Doing this automatically adds ContentDocument as a mandatory parent and ContentVersion object containing the latest file version as ContentDocument child.
            Note
Note When the ContentDocument Handling option Seed the real content is enabled for a Nodes template, the maximum number of real content records to be seeded as attachments, per seeding job, is 50K (ContentVersion) records. If the 50K maximum is exceeded, the seeding job is canceled and the generated Seeding Report records this cancellation.
