          Update a User's License

          Update a User's License

          You can move a user to a new license from the user’s profile. Before moving a user to another license, set up a profile for the new license type you’re moving the user to.

          Required Editions

          Available in: both Salesforce Classic and Lightning Experience
          Edition requirements vary for each user license type.
          User Permissions Needed
          To create, edit, and delete profiles: Manage Profiles and Permission Sets
          To manage profiles and to log in as a user: Manage Users

          Move a user to a different license from their user profile in Lightning Experience.

          1. From Setup, go to the user's profile and click the user's name.
          2. Click Edit.
          3. Select the new license from the User License picklist.
          4. Save your changes.
