Salesforce Platform Login License Details
The Salesforce Platform Login license is for users who need only occasional access to custom apps and to the same features and functionality as the Salesforce Platform license.
With the Salesforce Platform Login license and the Salesforce Platform PSL permission set license you get the same functionality and access as the Salesforce Platform license, but you have the flexibility to pay per login, instead of a fixed amount per user/per month. To use a login-based license, first purchase a specific number of logins to be used during a contract period. After users are logged in, they don’t consume extra logins if they log in multiple times within the same day. This type of login is called a unique login.
The ratio between the number of logins that you purchase and the number of login licenses that are provisioned in your org is 1:20. Why the large ratio? We want to make sure that you have enough licenses to assign to all the login-based users that you potentially could create. If you purchase 1 login, then 20 login licenses are provisioned in your org. If you purchase 1,000 logins, then 20,000 login licenses are provisioned in your org.
When you purchase the Salesforce Platform Login license you get 10,000 credits. Each unique login costs 50 credits, so 10,000 credits can buy you 200 unique logins. Because the ratio between unique logins and login user licenses is 1:20, 4,000 login user licenses are provisioned in your org when you purchase 1 Salesforce Platform Login license. If you need more than 4,000 login user licenses, purchase more unique logins.

Salesforce also sends a monthly account summary email to the primary billing contact and any other contact who is entitled to receive this information according to your contract.
