          Differences Between Einstein Activity Capture Editions

          Einstein Activity Capture Standard is available for users who don’t have Performance or Unlimited editions or a Sales Cloud Einstein, Inbox, Sales Engagement, or Revenue Intelligence license. Einstein Activity Capture has a few differences depending on which version you use.

          Required Editions

          Available in: Lightning Experience
          Available with Einstein Activity Capture Standard in Sales in Starter, Pro Suite, Professional, and Enterprise Editions
          Available with Unlimited Edition, Einstein 1 Sales Edition, and Agentforce 1 Edition
          Available with Einstein for Sales, which is included in Einstein 1 Sales Edition and available for an extra cost in Enterprise and Unlimited Editions
          Available with Sales Engagement, which is included with Sales in Performance and Unlimited Editions, and available for an extra cost in Professional and Enterprise Editions
          Available with Revenue Intelligence, which is available for an extra cost in Enterprise and Unlimited Editions
          Important
          Important Starting in Summer ’25, Activity 360 Reporting, Activity Metrics, and Activities Analytics Dashboard aren’t available unless previously set up. Additionally, data from these reporting tools that appear in other features, including Pipeline Inspection and Einstein Conversation Insights isn’t available unless configured before Summer ’25. If you’re already using Activity 360 Reporting, Activity Metrics, Activities Analytics Dashboard, or related data, you can continue to do so until these tools are retired. To explore email data added by Einstein Activity Capture after Summer ’25, make sure you sync email as salesforce activity and use Salesforce Activity reports.           Data retention

          If you have only Standard Einstein Activity Capture users, a maximum of 6 months of captured activity data is stored and shown on the activity timeline. The storage time can range from 3 to 6 months. To change the storage amount, contact Salesforce Customer Support.

          If you have at least one Einstein Activity Capture user, 24 months of captured activity data is stored and shown on the activity timeline.

          To change the storage amount, contact Salesforce Customer Support. You can store captured activity data for at least 3 months and up to 5 years.

          The data retention policy applies to all Einstein Activity Capture users. For more details, see Data Retention and Deletion.

          Activities Analytics dashboard

          The Activities dashboard is available in read-only mode from the Activities Dashboard tab.

          The amount of activity data that appears in the dashboard is 90 days.

          The Activities dashboard is available from the Analytics tab and Analytics Studio. To access the Activities dashboard, API access is required. If you use Professional Edition, you must purchase API access. For users with read-only access, the dashboard is available from the Activities Dashboard tab. The amount of activity data that appears in the dashboard is 180 days.

          For Inbox, full access to the dashboard is available to up to five Inbox users.

          For Sales Engagement, full access to the dashboard is available to up to three Sales Engagement users.

          For Sales Cloud Einstein, full access to the dashboard is available to all Sales Cloud Einstein users.

          For Revenue Intelligence, full access to the dashboard is available only to users with the Revenue Intelligence Admin permission set.

          For Performance and Unlimited editions, full access to the dashboard is available to up to three Sales Cloud Included users.

          Einstein Email Insights If you have only Standard Einstein Activity Capture users, Einstein Email Insights isn’t on by default, and you can't create custom email insights. If you have at least one Einstein Activity Capture user, Einstein Email Insights is on by default, and is available to all Einstein Activity Capture users. You can create custom email insights.
          Recommended Connections Standard Einstein Activity Capture users can’t see recommended connections even when there are paid Einstein Activity Capture users. Einstein Activity Capture users can see recommended connections on contact and lead records.
          Activity Metrics If you have only Standard Einstein Activity Capture users, Activity Metrics isn’t available. If you have at least one Einstein Activity Capture user, Activity Metrics is available to all Salesforce users.
          Activity 360 reporting If you have only Standard Einstein Activity Capture users, Activity 360 reporting isn’t available. If you have at least one Einstein Activity Capture user, Activity 360 reports are available to all Salesforce users.
