Accounts have business account fields and person account fields.

A business account has these fields. Depending on your page layout and field-level security settings, some fields aren’t visible or editable.
Person Account Fields
A person account has these fields. Depending on your page layout and field-level security settings, some fields aren’t visible or editable. Fields with a prefix Person or suffix _pc are contact fields that are supported for person accounts but not business accounts.
This list doesn’t include custom fields that your Salesforce admin has created. Both account and contact custom fields are available for person accounts.
Note To set field-level security on a Person Account field, set security on the corresponding
Contact field. The Person Account field inherits the same security setting from the Contact
field. You can't specify a different security setting on a Person Account field compared to
the corresponding Contact field.
