Disable the Access Activities permission so users, such as guest users in Experience
Builder sites, don’t have access to any tasks, events, and emails. That way, your reps and agents
can be sure that their work remains private.
Required Editions
Available in: Salesforce Classic,
Lightning Experience, and all versions of the Salesforce mobile app
Available in: Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and
Developer Editions and in all editions that allow profile changes.
User Permissions Needed
To disable activity access:
Customize Application and Modify All Data
To access tasks, events, calendar, and email:
Access Activities
This change also applies to Experience Builder sites and Salesforce Tabs + Visualforce sites,
accessed through Lightning Experience, all versions of the Salesforce mobile app, and Salesforce
Classic. Digital Experiences are available in Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer
editions.
From Setup, enter Permission Sets in the Quick Find box, then select
Permission Sets.
Select or create a permission set, and then open System
Permissions.
Based on your user license, update the permission set.
Note Some licenses don’t allow permission set changes for this permission.
Verify that all the users you'd like to have access to activities have the Access
Activities permission enabled on their profile.
When you disable the Access Activities permission, users also can’t see or create events on
calendars.
Guest users have access to emails in these circumstances:
Enhanced Email is enabled and the Access Activities permission is enabled on their
profile
Email-to-Case is enabled and the user has read access to cases
The Access Activities
permission doesn’t change user access to Email-to-Case emails. Emails associated with cases
that a user has access to appear in the case feed and the case’s email related list.
