          Public Cloud Infrastructure

Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure is separate from the main Salesforce instance that powers Einstein Activity Capture services. This AWS infrastructure, called Activity Platform Hyperforce infrastructure, is the next-generation Salesforce infrastructure architecture for public cloud, where Salesforce services run.

          Note
Note We’re reorganizing the Einstein Activity Capture documentation. We’re moving some information around, but we aren’t deleting anything.

Salesforce hosts Activity Platform Hyperforce infrastructure in the United States and Germany. For customers with Sales or Service instances in the Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region, their Activity Platform Hyperforce infrastructure is hosted in Germany. For all other customers, it’s hosted in the United States.

When you turn on Einstein Activity Capture in Salesforce, the Einstein Activity Capture service starts running on Activity Platform Hyperforce infrastructure servers. Then, when users connect their email mailboxes to Salesforce with the appropriate permissions, their mailbox connects to Activity Platform Hyperforce infrastructure. The Activity Platform Hyperforce infrastructure servers then make network calls to email services such as Google, Microsoft Exchange, or Microsoft Office 365.

Additional information about geographies for customer data storage for Sales and Service is available in the Infrastructure and Sub-processors documentation.

The Activity Platform Hyperforce infrastructure also powers Sales Engagement, Salesforce Inbox, and Einstein Conversation Insights services.
