Enable Pricing Guidance in Salesforce CPQ
Before you can enable pricing guidance for users, you must configure certain Salesforce, Tableau CRM, and Salesforce CPQ settings. (Salesforce CPQ Managed Package)

To create pricing guidance, your org requires a package and license for CPQ CRM Analytics. The CPQ CRM Analytics license is available by default with CPQ+ licenses. The license includes up to five user licenses and the basic Analytics features for pricing guidance. If you have CPQ+ but haven’t enabled the CPQ CRM Analytics license and installed the CRM Analytics Plus package, contact your Salesforce sales rep.
Important Analytics Integration users in CRM Analytics also require a CPQ license to
access CPQ objects such as quote and quote line.

Enable Analytics.
- From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Analytics.
- Select Getting Started, and then select Enable Analytics.

Enable Data Sync and Connections, and Analytics Templates.
- From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Analytics, and then select Settings.
- Select Enable Data Sync and Connections and Enable CRM Analytics Watchlist.
- Install the CPQ CRM Analytics (Analytics for Salesforce CPQ) or the CRM Analytics Plus package.
- Assign the Analytics Template Administration permission set license to the admins who work with pricing guidance.

Create a Pricing Guidance app in the Analytics Studio.
- From Lightning, enter Analytics Studio, and then select the Analytics Studio app. In Salesforce Classic, from Home on the All tab, select the Analytics object.
- Select Create, and then select App.
- In Create a New App, select Create an app, select Create from Template, and then select Pricing Guidance.
- Name the app Pricing_Guidance and then click Create.
Important You must also turn on Enable Pricing Guidance in the CPQ package settings. -
Share dashboards with your CRM Analytics users.
- Go to Analytics Studio and select Apps.
- In the Pricing Guidance app, select the Share icon next to the Create button.
- Enter the names of the users, groups, or roles that require access to the Create Pricing Guidance page. Specify the role of the user, group or role as Viewer, Editor, or Manager.

Add the Analytics URLs to your allowlist so that you can load Pricing Guidance
dashboards.
- From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Allowlist, and then select Allowlist.

From Setup, select My Domain and verify the settings under My
Domain Settings.
If Use enhanced domains is enabled, enter https://<MyDomainName>—sbqqea.vf.force.com. Replace <MyDomainName> with the My Domain name of your org.If Stabilize Visualforce, Experience Builder, Site.com Studio, and content file URLs are enabled, enter https://<MyDomainName>—sbqqea.visualforce.com. Replace <MyDomainName> with the My Domain name of your org.If Stabilize Visualforce, Experience Builder, Site.com Studio, and content file URLs aren’t enabled, enter https://<MyDomainName>—sbqqea.<instance>.visual.force.com. Replace <MyDomainName> with the My Domain name of your org and <instance> with the instance where your org belongs.
- Make sure that you enabled My Domain.

To show sales reps the suggested target discount before they open the Pricing Guidance
page, add the Guidance field to the quote line’s Line Editor field set.
This field shows the Target discount for the pricing guidance tier that covers the quote line’s quantity. Sales reps can use the Guidance field to quickly see the suggested Target discount before they open the Pricing Guidance page.For Salesforce Classic users, add the Create Pricing Guidance tab to your tab list. The Create Pricing Guidance tab is available in Classic and Lightning when you have a CPQ CRM Analytics license and package or CRM Analytics Plus license and package.
- Save your changes.
