Salesforce CPQ Reduction Orders Limitations

When you work with reduction orders in Salesforce CPQ, some limitations apply. We recommend using Salesforce CPQ amendments instead.

Required Editions

Available in: both Salesforce Classic and Lightning Experience

Orders are available in: Professional, Enterprise, Unlimited, and Developer Editions

Reduction orders are available in: Enterprise, Unlimited, and Developer Editions
User Permissions Needed
To edit an order or reduction order: Edit on orders
To edit an activated order or reduction order: Edit Activated Orders
To delete an order or reduction order: Delete on orders

Salesforce Billing doesn’t support reduction orders. Specifically, reduction orders in Salesforce CPQ can’t be used to do the following.

  • Include percent of total lines when you reduce a covered asset
  • Include bundle components when you reduce the parent bundle
  • Create price schedules
  • Consider the price calculation status when you activate an order
  • Create a contract, subscription, or asset
