          Guidelines for Splitting Orders

          Guidelines for Splitting Orders

When you work with split orders, follow these important guidelines. (Salesforce CPQ Managed Package)

          • You can create up to 150 orders from one quote.
          • You can’t order Percent of Total separately from their covered assets.
          • You can’t order component product options separately from their parent bundles.
          • You can split a bundle that has accessories or related products into multiple orders. However, if you contract both orders into one contract and renew or amend the contract, Salesforce CPQ doesn't reassemble the bundle on renewal or amendment quotes.
          • You can order different quantities of an entire bundle. However, if the bundle contains an asset, Salesforce CPQ doesn't reassemble the product options under their respective parent bundle on renewal or amendment quotes.
          • When you create an order by using the Create Order button on the renewal quote, the assets, asset parents, and child components of an asset parent are not populated unless you enable Percent of Total (Contracting from Orders) in the package settings. Zero quantity asset renewals are supported with this setting.
