          Object Type Examples

You use three types of recommendation objects to build recommendations.

For more information, see Recommendation Data Terminology.

Let's look at how you can recommend a bank product to customers based on their history and preferences.

          Recommended Items Object: Bank Product

Bank Product represents the financial products offered to customers based on their banking history and preferences. The custom object can be any bank product you a recommending. For example:

          • Business offerings such as products, services, or packages.
          • Resources such as solutions to customer issues or spare parts for work orders.
          • Any other object to be recommended to a recipient record.

          Recipient Object: Contact

Contact represents the bank’s customer. The custom object represents the entity receiving the recommendation. For example:

          • External stakeholders such as leads, prospects, customers, partners, or users.
          • Internal stakeholders such as employees or departments.
          • Work items such as cases or work order.

          Interactions Object: Bank Account

Bank Account represents financial products currently owned by the bank’s customers. The object stores a customer's banking data, using interactions to formulate predictions for your recommendations.

Depending on your dataset, multiple objects can be used as the Interactions object. Choose an object that stores the desirable outcomes between the Recommended Items object and the Recipient object.
