In Lightning Experience, if in-app guidance is related to a specific object or app, you also need access to that item. Otherwise, some actions aren’t available in In-App Guidance Builder.

If you don’t have one of these permissions, you can’t see the site in In-App Guidance Builder. If another user with these permissions created in-app guidance in a site and you try to edit the in-app guidance they created, you can’t see the site.

Free Walkthroughs in Lightning Experience

In Lightning Experience, you can create and activate up to three free custom walkthroughs. To activate more than three custom walkthroughs at a time, purchase the Enablement add-on license and assign permissions.

To activate more than three custom walkthroughs at a time, purchase the Enablement add-on license and assign the Use Custom Walkthroughs permission set to selected users. However, after you purchase the license, only users with this permission set can view any custom walkthroughs. The three free custom walkthroughs are no longer available to all users. The In-App Guidance page in Setup shows the number of free custom walkthroughs that remain available.

In supported Experience Cloud sites, all walkthroughs require Enablement and PRM licenses.
