Deploy the Forecasting Data Kit

To configure a consumption forecast type, import the standard objects required for forecasting from your Salesforce org to Data 360. Deploying the Forecasting data kit creates the data lake and data model objects for those standard objects.

Required Editions

Available in: Lightning Experience
Available in: Enterprise, Unlimited with Sales, and in Agentforce 1 Sales Edition

In Data Cloud One setup, select the companion org you want to use for consumption forecasting while deploying the Forecasting data kit.

  1. From the App Launcher, find and open Data Cloud.
  2. In Data 360 go to the Data Streams tab and click New.
  3. Select the Salesforce CRM connected data source and click Next.
  4. Select your connected org.
    If only one Salesforce org is connected to Data 360, it’s selected by default.
  5. Select Data Bundles, and then select the Forecasting data bundle, and click Next.
  6. Select the data space you want to use for forecasting and click Next.
    The installed objects and fields are shown. Don’t remove the data objects, fields, or mappings. Consumption forecasting relies on the standard installation to show the forecasts correctly.
  7. Click Deploy.
    The data kit deploys six data streams. The Data Streams tab shows the progress. When the data streams show an Active status, you’re ready to continue.
