Task Reports
The fields available in task object reports let you see the cadences, cadence states, cadence steps, and target dispositions related to each task. Create a task report to include these fields.
There are differences to consider when choosing between the Tasks and Events standard report type, an Activities with Object standard report type, or an Object with Activities custom report type.
- The Task and Events report type returns Activities across multiple objects (such as Cases, Accounts, Contacts, Leads, Campaigns, and Opportunities). As a result, these reports can be more susceptible to time outs because they typically query several objects.
- The Activities with Object and Object with Activities report types improve activity report performance by using separate report types that are more specific to a single object, like the Activities with Leads report type. Though this limits the Activities in the report to those related to the selected object, the performance on these reports is much faster since they query fewer objects.
- When creating reports using the Activities with Object report type, custom fields from the object aren’t available. As an alternative, Create a Custom Report Type for the object and add Activities as the secondary object.
To see related sales cadences in task reports, use the Report Builder to add the Sales Cadence Name, State, Sales Cadence Step Title, and Target Disposition fields to task reports.
