Limitations for In-App Guidance in Experience Cloud Sites
If your company has purchased Enablement, purchased Enablement Partner Relationship
Management (PRM), and created an Experience Cloud site built with Aura templates, you can create
prompts and walkthroughs in a site. Some functionality that’s available for in-app guidance in
Lightning Experience isn’t available for in-app guidance in Experience Cloud sites.
Required Editions
Available with Enablement, which is available with Sales, Service, or Salesforce
Platform for an additional cost in: Enterprise, Performance,
Unlimited, and Developer Editions
In-app guidance in Experience Cloud sites with Partner Enablement requires an
Enablement add-on license and supported PRM add-on
license.
Only sites built with Aura templates support in-app guidance.
Only floating prompts or walkthroughs that consist of floating prompts are
supported.
The supported values for the Prompt Location option in In-App Guidance Builder differ
from the values for prompts in sites compared to prompts in Lightning Experience. See
Considerations for Creating In-App Guidance.
Prompts in a site inherit the site’s brand colors, and In-App Guidance Builder doesn’t
provide an option for selecting a custom theme color.
The permissions required for creating and taking in-app guidance in a site differ from
the permissions required for in-app guidance in Lightning Experience. See Permissions for Creating and Accessing In-App Guidance.
All walkthroughs in sites require Enablement and PRM licenses. The option to create and
activate up to 3 free walkthroughs applies only to Lightning Experience.
The test mode option on the In-App Guidance page in Setup doesn’t support prompts or
walkthroughs in Lightning Experience.
