          Considerations for Deleting Leads

          Understand what happens to the records associated with the leads you delete individually or in bulk. Identify who can delete converted leads.

          Required Editions

          Available in: Salesforce Classic and Lightning Experience
          Available in: Starter, Essentials, Group, Professional, Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, Pro Suite, and Developer Editions with Sales
          • When you delete a lead, the lead record moves to the Recycle Bin. Associated notes, attachments, and activities are deleted along with the lead. If you restore the lead, any associated notes, attachments, and activities are also restored.
          • Users without the View Converted Leads permission can delete converted leads via the public API or tools that use the public API.
          • When deleting converted leads in bulk using Mass Delete Records available in Setup or using Data Loader, set the converted criteria to equals 1 to indicate converted leads.
