          User Permissions Needed
To assign a permission set to users: Assign Permission Sets

Salesforce periodically indexes your unconverted leads to make them searchable. After lead conversion, Salesforce doesn’t index the lead again. If a lead conversion takes place before it’s indexed, or a user updates a lead after conversion, it isn’t searchable.

          1. From Setup, enter Permission Sets and select Permission Sets.
          2. Click New.
          3. Enter a name for the permission set and save.
          4. Click App Permissions and then click Edit.
          5. Under Sales, select the View and Edit Converted Leads permission.
          6. Save the permission set.
          7. From Setup, enter Users and select Users.
          8. Select the user that you want to assign the new permission set to.
          9. Scroll to the Permission Sets related list and then click Edit Assignments.
          10. Assign the permission set to the user and save your changes.

The location where a converted lead appears depends on the interface that you use.
