SMS Messaging for Sales Overview
SMS Messaging for Sales incorporates SMS capabilities directly into Sales, making it easy to send text messages to customers and fostering more effective relationship building and prospecting. Building on Salesforce Digital Engagement and Omni Channel, it provides a seamless and efficient messaging experience, letting sales reps easily respond to and manage messages.

On lead, contact, and person account record pages, sales reps can initiate chat messages from the Activity Composer, see message history in the Activity Timeline, and conduct messaging sessions on the Conversation tab of the customer record.
Sales Engagement users can also include SMS messaging steps in cadences, letting them use cadences in more sales scenarios. SMS cadence steps appear in users’ To Do List and Work Queue like other cadence steps.
