          Enablement Site Setup and Content

Setting up an enablement site and publishing content is supported only with user licenses in production. These steps aren’t supported for user licenses in a sandbox.

However, you can effectively test workflows before rolling out an enablement site by limiting the users who have permission to access site functionality. For example, you can create a content collection that only a small number of acceptance testing users can access. You can also use the content preview and release preview capabilities to validate content before learners can access it.

          Trail Tracker App

You can install the Trail Tracker app in a sandbox with these limitations.

          • The user IDs in the sandbox must match user IDs in production.
          • The user who sets up Trail Tracker must have a valid user ID in production.
          • The app can sync data only with content that’s published in production.
          • You can build and test workflows in a sandbox by simulating trigger actions. For example, if you want to notify a manager when a user completes an assigned module, create a User Badge record where the module’s status is Completed.
          • You can’t test module recommendations in the Guidance Center panel in a sandbox.
          • You can test assigning and unassigning trailmixes in a sandbox. See Test Trailmix Assignments with the Trail Tracker App in a Sandbox.
